Murfreesboro, TN's public schools show 1 in 9 found positive for HIV, the virus causing AIDES, in 2004, and it was the cause for TN legislators to pass legislation forcing HIV testing in public schools. If HIV rates are going down world wide, I do not know how this could be. They certainly have increased in the US public schools. I do not know the prevailing strain of HIV in this area, Rutherford County, TN. It is most likely not the worse case scenario, however, any HIV cases are serious.
